Roche Interactive Accessible PDF
Transformed dense healthcare content into a one-page interactive PDF with clickable pop-ups and accessibility-aware information design.

Overview
At Roche, I helped expand the in-house design team’s capabilities beyond basic print and digital production by introducing motion design, video editing, accessibility, website design support, and close-captioning. One of the most notable projects was a content-heavy PDF that needed a more engaging and user-friendly format.
The Challenge
The source material contained roughly ten pages of content, but the client needed a format that felt lighter, faster to consume, and easier to navigate. The goal was to simplify access to information without sacrificing clarity, completeness, or usability.
My Role
I led the visual restructuring of the document and redesigned it as an infographic-led interactive PDF. This included planning the information hierarchy, creating interactive content areas, and considering accessibility and read-aloud support in the user experience.
Design Approach
I used progressive disclosure to reduce overwhelm and improve navigation. The design introduced nine clickable pop-up areas, allowing users to explore detailed information in a controlled and intuitive way. Instead of treating the file like a static PDF, I approached it as an information experience that blended layout, interactivity, and accessibility.
Outcome
The final piece was highly appreciated internally and became a strong example of how design can make complex healthcare communication more engaging, accessible, and easier to understand.
